560H hook-in Steel Sleeper

The 560H hook-in steel sleeper(for use with CEN60 or 113lb Rail) is the current standard sleeper supplied to Network Rail.
These are manufactured by GMT for use in all the U.K. rail network steel sleeper installations; since 2003 over one million have been put into track.
Twin Tube 560H UTX Steel Sleeper

This sleeper has been developed by GMT to satisfy the need for a low cost sleeper for transferring cables etc. under the rails. the main benifits are:-
• Compatible with standard 560H steel sleepers
• Can be stacked and transported to site seperately or as part of a pack of 5 standard sleepers
• No loose parts
• Can be installed the same time as standard 560H sleepers
• Considerable cost saving over trough sleepers
Short Sleepers (560H)

Short Sleepers are used in situations where there is a restriction that prevents a full sized sleeper being used i.e. a station platform or steelwork close to track. The sleeper is designed with a large spade end on the short end to give the sleeper extra lateral resistance to compensate for it being shorter than standard.
Four Rail Guardrail Sleepers (560H)

Guardrail sleepers are fitted into track in situations where it would be highly dangerous for a train to leave the track i.e. on a viaduct. The sleepers are installed so that the first sleeper has an extra set of rail fittings to the left hand side, then alternately to the right hand side, this is continued down the track to give a four rail configuration. Should the train derail the centre rails will pick up the inside wheels of the train whilst the outer wheels will run on the flat surface of the steel sleepers. On a standard length sleeper the wheels would run on the spade ends of the sleeper.
